My JOURNEY
I begin NO-S tomorrow! I'm excited about this plan and really hope it works!
Because of my carb sensitivity, I do have to restrict my carb and sugar intake but not to the point where I am counting carb grams. I never want to do that again!

DAY #1
SUCCESS
Bfast -
eggs, butter
sprouted grain toast (1), anchovy spread
lemon-lime water
*prenatal, calcium, cod oil, primrose oil
Lunch -
Tuna salad
sprouted grain bread (2)
carrots
lemon-lime water
Dinner-
roast beef w/ gravy
cheesy cauliflower puree
magnesium water
Hardest part of day was between 5:00 (when I left work) and getting to dinner...which I haven't done yet. (Will eat in another 30 minutes. I'm not a night time snacker so I'll be fine after I eat dinner and I consider this day a success)

DAY # 2
SUCCESS
Bfast-
eggs, butter
sprouted grain toast
anchovy spread
lemon-lime water
prenatal, calcium, cod liver, primrose
Lunch-
cheeseburger (no bun)
tossed salad w/ creamy Italian dressing
banana
water
Dinner-
roast beef
cheesy cauliflower puree
magnesium water
Once again the hardest part of the day for me is between lunch and dinner. I was out running errands and I had to fight with all my power to keep from buying a snack or candy.
Does it get easier?? Maybe I'm not eating enough for lunch

DAY #3
FAILURE - in my eyes
Well, I started the day off on a wrong note and it's been a battle.
Bfast-
Oatmeal-steel cut
cream, butter
sweet n low
*This triggered enormous carb/sugar cravings for me
Lunch-
tuna salad
sprouted grain bread (2)
banana
Snack-
popcorn (eaten 1/2 hr after the tuna sandwich)
Snack-
apple and orange juice
What a bummer today has been.
I will never try to eat just oatmeal again for bfast.
I was craving carbs/sugar from the moment I finished the bowl.
Dinner-
will be a bunless cheeseburger and veggies.

Welcome ... and it sounds like you are doing fantastically well! Honestly, I hope you don't feel bad or berate yourself for having a couple of snacks, especially given that you are in your last few weeks of pregnancy. Your body may actually need a little extra fuel (and it isn't like you were binging on desserts or complete junk ) ...

You are right about the extra fuel. I thought about that after writing the entry. It's not a failure in the sense that I am still pregnant but it is a failure in the sense that all those carbs make me lethargic and I don't feel well after indulging.sophiasapientia wrote:Welcome ... and it sounds like you are doing fantastically well! But thank you for the encouragement. I don't intend to give up on the plan. Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it!
