How do you pick and put an avatar under you name?

You find an avatar image you like using Google.
You save the image to your computer.
You click on the 'Profile' button up there ... near the top of this page, on the left ... to change your profile ...
There's a place where you can select the avatar image you saved on your machine earlier .... presto.

But...they have to be the right size! Most of the ones that I found that I really liked were too big. I did find one site that allowed you to resize the avatars.

sizing your avatar
You can also save the avatar to your own computer then resize/compress the file to a really small size ( 6 k is the size it has to be to work on the No S site.)
I resized mine using Microsoft Picture Manager/edit function. . . . had to compress-then save then compress again several times to get it small enough!
If you get an avatar from a web site it might be close to the right size to begin with. But if you use a real picture or logo, etc. it will probably need resizing.
