Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

Counting carbs/calories is a drag. Obsessive scale stepping is a recipe for despair. If you want to count something, "days on habit" is a much better metric. Checking off days on a calendar would do just fine, but if you do it here you get accountability and support. Here's how. Start a new topic in this forum called (say) "Your Name Daily Check In." Then every N day post a "reply" to that topic as to whether you stayed on habit. A simple "<font color="green">SUCCESS</font>" or "<font color="red">FAILURE</font>" (or your preferred euphemism if that's too harsh) is sufficient, but obviously you're welcome to write more if you want. On S-days just register that you're taking an S-day. You don't have to do this forever, just until you're confident you've built the habit. Feel free to check in weekly or monthly or sporadically instead of daily. Feel free also to track other habits besides No-s (I'm keeping this forum under No-s because that's what the vast majority are using it for). See also my <a href="/habitcal/">HabitCal</a> tool for another more formal (and perhaps complementary) way to track habits.

Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

Lets see. Thursday was kind of not-a-success - bfast and lunch went fine, then for some reason at dinner.... it was just not enough so I had eral seconds. But one of the main things I was thinking as I broke the rule was that my S days would not taste as sweet having broken the No-S weekday rule.

Friday I stuck to the plan. (The plates are still big tho.)

Saturday, today, I had sweet cereal to start with as a treat.... Raisin Bran Crunch and Sugar Pops. Meh. They were okay. An hour or so later I had toast with jam. The jam tasted too sweet to me. Lunch 1.30 pm I had a sandwich, half a chocolate bar, and a glass of milk-- but .... This was just one sandwich! Not a giant plate of sandwich! Just a regular old sandwich! I got involved with some cleaning chores and lost track of food till 5.30 pm when a neighbor had me over for some dinner. I know I will have something later on to make this an S day near wild, but so far so good. I'm not obsessing about sampling as many forbidden foods as possible during the two-day reprieve, so this is progress.
