I find it darkly ironic that it's the adults who are upset, especially as I doubt most of them are vegetarians.
I'm thrilled the children haven't been infected by that insanity yet.

Wow. As a vegan, I am constantly amazed by the disconnect people have with their food, considering when I have discussions with people (who are otherwise sensible adults), they don't want to hear any details about why I made the choice or about how factory farms operate, etc. I chose to be vegan precisely because I realized that I would not kill an animal, so I am not going to pay someone else to do it for me either.
I figure if you can't stomach the details, then you SHOULD at least be vegetarian, because you obviously have a problem with that particular system. Anyway - that's my soapbox.
Interesting and objective article, although IN MY OPINION none of the animals should be slaughtered.

Fair enough. It's internally and morally consistent.marleah wrote: I chose to be vegan precisely because I realized that I would not kill an animal, so I am not going to pay someone else to do it for me either.
I WOULD kill an animal, so I feel it's moral for me to pay someone to do it.
