May 6 is a NWS day for me- a Mothers' Day tea at my mom's new retirement place.
Decided to make 19th NWS so I could enjoy some sweets @office.
Traded a Thurs (26th) for a Sat NWS day (28th)
Also trading 29 for 30th

I'm hoping so too! We'll see. Last two months we've done a lot of visiting with family, and I'd like to have a month with no red days .osoniye wrote:I think this is going to be a great, green month for us in NoS!

Thanks for bumping! I missed the initial post.
Ending up taking Cinco de Mayo as a NWS Day.
5/10 - Had a bad day and was going to go red, but after a plate full of food, I was done and just overdid it with the red wine instead.
5/14 - Found the key to no red days is to declare them NWS-Days. Hey, it's not cheating until I have more than two.
5/16 - Okay, had no excuse for behavior so a red day it is.

Update Saturday, 5/14. Worked in enough vigor to satisfy me for a G yesterday. Daily step average 6,250. Woops, lower than last week. Oh well. Fell prey to mindless eating of pretzel sticks this week. Second week in a row. Hmm. Might banish them for awhile.
Early May declaration: Going more for exercise than eating, namely all N days do 11 minutes minimum Shovelglove-type vigor; 14 minutes is ideal
The small r on Friday 5/6: "crashed the car" eating on Friday AFTER "denting" it at teacher's buffet. Felt I needed to record that, even though I'm not doing this to track eating.
WEEK 1 step average 6873 as of Friday night;
not counted in steps: went to African dance class Friday night, about 2 hours in honor of birthday of one teacher (but we don't all dance every minute; we take turns in lines of three or four. got plenty sweaty; lots of HIIT)

I'm new
So just getting ready to start tomorrow. I'm pretty thrilled to see this thread and hoping this is something that will continue for June? Also green day and red day and yellow day, I think I get it, but could someone explain? Thanks!
Hi! the red, yellow, green comes from the HabitCal - have you checked that out? There's a hyper-link to it at the top of this screen, under Everday Systems - if you scroll down that screen it's all explained there.
Quick explanation:
Red means you've 'failed' on a week day by having Sweets, Snacks or Seconds
Yellow means it's an 'exempt' day either because it's a weekend day, a Special day, or perhaps a Sick day
Green means you've 'succeeded' on a week day by having No Sweets, No Snacks, No Seconds.
People in this thread use different yellow emoticons to symbolise different things - so it can be less that clear. But the quick explanation above is how the HabitCal works.
Hope that helps! and, yes, it will start again with a new June thread

Just 2 more days... lets keep up the good work!!
If anybody wants to kick off the June challenge thread, feel free! (I think my use of the eye-roll emoticon for Red days might be confusing, as the first entry. Heh, not that I expect to have any red days in June, mind you!)

I totally bombed this month! Glad to see so much green on here! I'm encouraged by all of you! It's even encouraging to see that there are a few slip ups. It reassures me that I'm not the only one who has red days, and that it's possible to just mark it and move on! I'm looking forward to starting fresh in June.
Yup, just mark it and move on! I really wanted to have a good month this time, as I'd had 3 red days each of the last two months & it ended up slowing my losses a bit last month. But I find it really freeing to realize, it's just a day off track (whether by accident or on purpose), and we can dust off and try again.MaggieMae wrote:I totally bombed this month!
