new to the forum, not new to no s

No S was my New Year's resolution for 2013. Overall it was a success. I’ve suffered from disordered eating of some form or another for as long as I can remember with the main issue being binge eating. My foremost goal with No S was to free myself from my anxieties surrounding food and eating, but I also wanted to lose weight. By fall I had lost 50 pounds and was truly enjoying food for the first time in years without thinking about it much. It was wonderful. Then I went through some stressful times and started having more red days. My response was to add more restrictions on top of vanilla No S. Classic mistake. I lost close to 20 more pounds, but I was undereating and that led to the yoyo effect. I kept losing and regaining. At the start of 2014 I stopped No S-ing completely. I stepped on the scale this morning and was surprised to see that I have kept off the 50 pounds I lost with vanilla No S. Still I’m not happy with the way I’ve been eating or feeling this year. Some days are moderate, but mostly I just alternate between overindulgence and overrestriction. I’ve been bingeing a lot lately and that feels truly horrible. I hope that returning to No S can give me some relief once again. We shall see.

Hi, airmail- Welcome. Congratulations on your 50# wight loss and maintenance. That's great. I bounce pretty high when I stray from NoS. Wishing you the best in keeping that weight off and seeing some more go, or at least positive changes in your relationship with food. Binging really is not fun!

Thanks for the encouragement, Sonya. Really am shocked I didn't gain with the amount of food I've eaten in the past few weeks. I know if I don't find balance I could easily regain all the weight eventually.
