What!? No January Challenge yet? Well here it is.

➡⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
⭐⭐⭐🍷🍷⭐🍷
⭐⭐⭐🍷🍷⭐🍸
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🍷🍷
🍷🍷⭐⭐

❄= Success waiting to happen
⭐= That's what I'm talkin' about!!
🍷= Really? What was I thinking!
🎉= Anniversary - spent it at a family dinner. No wine involved.

1/30 - 68% compliance. Have to admit: The math fascinates me. Success only brings a tiny increment of improvement but failure yields a change close to 5 percentage points. I understand why but it's a bit like watching shifting sand.

December was only 54% compliant but I'm sure I can do better than that!

1/10/18 Thought about it - knew I'd regret it- it messes with my sleep. Wine led to cheese and crackers. 90% success rate

1/11/18 It was just there. So I had some. Down to 81% success.

1/13/18 No good reason whatsoever. 77% compliance. Boy that drops quickly but increases slowly.

1/17/18 Should have just gone to bed. 76% Been up since 4 and feel lousy. Have to remember this feeling the next time I have too make a decision.

1/18/18 overate pizza and had wine. Been having issues with "comfort eating" the last week or so.72%

1/20/18 out to dinner with friends 70%

1/26/18 an evening drink with husband 73%

1/27/18 game night with the neighbors 70%

1/28/18 relaxing with husband 68%

1/29/18 Husband offered/ I said yes. 65%

29th Jan was red - ate two cookies after dinner. I was feeling exhausted and grumpy. Glad that the next two days have been on track though, battled through temptation yesterday but today has been fine.

Total compliance this month 90.9% - room for improvement!

Merry, I don't want to turn this into a pi$$ing contest, but one of the women on a Spark team I "run" lives in Canada and she reported before Christmas that it was 25 below that day! She and her husband have cows and other farm duties, though she had a regular job until she retired, and she's always talking about yoga classes and music they go hear and all kinds of stuff. In San Diego, we waaaa when it's 50 out.

Yesterday was tough. I had a clingy, teething baby who just screamed at me all day and barely napped. I ended up stress eating and skipped my workout to get some other things done instead. Oh well, today is a new day.

Glad to have you. You've got only today, Friday, before the Sweekend! Then only eight weekdays before the end of January. You can do it!

Thank you oolala53, but I have to be honest and say that today was a difficult day and in the end I failed.

I've been very hungry today for the whole day and one hour before dinner I could not take more and I've eaten four pieces of bread with brie cheese and turkey. Immediately afterwards I set out to make dinner and I pecked a few corn snacks. After dinner, which has been the pizza I had scheduled, and in the end, it was so full that I have not eaten anything else. In my favor I also have to say that it is much less than what I usually eat in a binge and that I know that this is very normal at first and it does not mean that this way of eating is not for me. I also say that I have come to think about going back to my old diet and that afterwards I discovered myself thinking that if that is what I want for my whole life. Now I do not want to return to it, and I only think that it is normal to fall, and that you just have to get up and continue. I want this to work, and deep down I know what's best for me.

Anyway, I'm pretty angry with myself, but not forgiving will not do me any good, so I mark this day in red and tomorrow I'll enjoy my S-day without regrets, sure that I'm in the right direction.

By the way, I want to ask ... can you have more than two coffees with milk per day? I usually take one in the morning when I get up (very early) and have breakfast three hours later. And today I have taken another one in the middle of the afternoon, but perhaps if I had taken another one that hour before dinner I would not have gotten to bite and throw the day overboard.

There's no official limit on liquids (other than, if they're sugar-laden they'd be an "s"), so you are free to drink milk or a coffee with milk/cream etc...

It's normal to have some off-days when you are getting started though--it's all part of the learning process and also serves to motivate us too--you see what you want and what you don't want. "Mark it and move on" as they say Smile

Thank you very much Merry! Today I am very animated, and despite being an S-day, I've gotten up thinking about my structure of three dishes a day, that's a very good sign! Smile

The next time I'll have another coffee with milk to save the day.

Have a wonderful day! Very Happy

If drinks were limited I'd be in trouble, I often drink about 4 cups of tea with milk in work before lunchtime! I only take a little milk with tra though and no sugar, if I was drinking a ton of huge lattes or something I might have a rethink. I only limit sugary drinks that would be an S, like full sugar pop, milkshakes, syrupy coffees and hot chocolates.

If I'm really craving a sweet taste on an N day I might have a sugar free soda but I still try and limit those as well.

How good!!! It is a great relief for me to know that I am not the only one who needs to drink more milk between meals ... I suppose that over time this will change, but knowing that if I am hungry there is something that I can calm down with, it gives me a lot of peace.

I just had my breakfast as yesterday, without anything sweet. Today I plan to make my three meals and some dessert with dinner, we will go to McDonalds. And maybe I'll take something solid in the afternoon, but it all depends on what we do, if we go for a walk and stop at a cafeteria or not ... It's incredible that I'm not thinking of eating everything I've found through my step, despite be licensed for everything to be an S day ... (do not get me wrong, that's not how I want my S days to be, but with my history of compulsive eater, this is what would probably happen). Today I have realized that the S days can be the same as the N, except by adding some sweet whim or some appetizer if there is hunger, and I love that and it is surprising for me Smile

I'm hoping my brain realises this sometime soon! Smile

I hit my 21 days on habit goal today, 93.8% compliance so far. Next goal is for the rest of the month to be compliant.

Hi, millie! Hello everyone! In the end, everything went out of control. I made a very good S day, without hunger, eating less and with only a couple of ice creams for excess, but on Sunday I will faint. I started well, eating less, and I was even able to leave half a plate of food because I had been pecking a bit before eating (here in Spain it is customary to make an aperitif at festive meals), but at night to think that I had to say goodbye to the licenses, I ate excessively, and that moved to yesterday as well.

Today I have started again and I am already aware again. I will put the badly made days in red and follow!

The good thing about NoS is that every new day is a new chance to mark a green (well unless it's an S day in which case there are no failures!)

Millen, what you realized about S days is exactly what they are supposed to be. The early practice of wild eating can calm down on its own as members "get it" or even just slide into it without a lot of attention. (Not me, by the way, and fair number of others were/are in my boat. Hence the podcast on "S days gone wild.) ) They were never supposed to stay free-for-alls. My S days now include some "edgy" foods I used to eat any day of the week, but they are mostly on three (and sometimes two, accommodating brunch or afternoon eating) plates.

Not to jump the gun, but my weight loss was not linear at all, and often followed lighter S days and getting more honest about how much I "needed" liquid calories between meals. But get through however you can.

I haven't had any real weight loss so far, although my scales were a bit dodgy so I haven't been weighing properly. I weighed in at a medical today so I'll use that as a baseline. I'm not massively worried about weight loss, I'm more focused on healthy habits, but I am firmly in the overweight category and some clothes are getting tight, so I'd like to eventually slim down by about 10kg. I'm pretty confident that it's wild S days and fast food preventing weight loss but I'm willing to give Vanilla a good try and see if changes happen naturally before I go adding mods.

Ended January green which I'm happy with Smile

Aw, shoot. Once again, I stopped keeping track when I didn't get notices of others' updates. I'm so dependent! So, I'm guessing on some of this.

Today is a fail.

I'm going to start reporting what I fail with on my check in thread.
