Not sure if this is of any interest to anyone, but I found this app on the apple store and I've downloaded it:

I'm sure there are many similar out there, but I find this one to do the job well (I've set breakfast, lunch, dinner and two non-sugary drinks as things to check off.)
Until Reinhard develops a no-s one, Strides seems like a good alternative!
