Hello, I have had this site on my favorites for over a year, looked at it several times, thought about trying the No S diet, then would try something else, Weight Watchers, Slim Fast, etc. I got tired of going to WW every week and weighing in and hearing boring talks, keeping track of those points every day, and paying money every week, so I decided I would come here once again and try this program for 21 days and see what happens. Today is the start of day #3 for me. I have read a lot of the posts, so I think I have a pretty good idea of what the program consists of, it is such common sense.
I know I have gained most of my weight by snacking in between meals. I used to think, I do not really eat that much at meals, why am I gaining so much weight? Then I really started paying attention to what I was eating between meals, chips, candy, cookies, etc., and I realized that is what was putting the weight on me. So I do realize it is my eating too much that has made me put on this weight.
I have about 40 pounds to lose, but I am focusing on getting healthier and feeling better.

You can do it Shannon!
Any *healthy* long term diet can usually lose you about 20-25 lbs in a year.. We are talking averages.. Fortunately, with NoS you also *KEEP IT OFF*!!!
Good luck!
Glad you don't have to go to boring meetings anymore!!! LOL!!!
And good luck with not snacking! I think that's the easiest of the rule to be honest.. it goes away fast! Include some of your favorite "snack" foods in you meal, as long as they aren't krispie kremes!
Peace and Love,
Deb

Deb & Reinhard:
Thanks for the encouragement. I am really trying to take this one day at a time and not try to get overwhelmed. I think that is why I fail so much, I look ahead and get overwhelmed and think that I cannot do this forever. I am heavier than I have ever been now, I have had a lot of stress in my life lately. I have had well-meaning people tell me to wait until I am not stressed out to start dieting, but this is something I can do without actually letting everyone know I am on a diet. All stress eating does is make you feel horrible physically from all of the junk you have eaten.
