After several months of lurking on this site, I finally decided to become a member. Sometime this past spring I discovered the No S diet while on the Amazon site. I read the book and it resonated with me. At one point I made a half-hearted attempt to follow the diet and then went off of it-don't remember why. In July I decided I was "sick and tired of being sick and tired". On July 27th I started the diet and by and large have stuck with it. I'm 5' 1" tall and my starting weight was 188. The first week I lost 6 lbs. and was very excited. The second week I didn't lose any and almost let myself get discouraged. Waited to weigh until Sept. 1st-lost 3 more pounds!

This has been the most enjoyable plan. As most of you have experienced, I enjoy food more and eat a more balanced diet. Haven't started any exercise yet, but hopefully soon.
Thank you Reinhard for your book and this website and for sharing your secrets to living more moderately.

Congratulations to you and welcome!

Great Robin!
You will find that just a little added walking here and there when you can can make a big difference and make you feel good. If nothing else I take a 10-20 minute walk during my work day, weather permitting. Little steps are good, and you are definitely on the right track.
Habit is habit and not to be flung out of the window by any man, but coaxed downstairs a step at a time.--- Mark Twain
