Take a deep breath.
Remind yourself - you can still have sweets. You just have to wait.
Try not to keep them in the house, go out and buy something specifically indulgent on the weekend.
Eat a piece of fruit with a meal, the natural sugars may satisfy some of your craving.

I agree about eating the fruit. I am a HUGE sweets person, and the habit of having something sweet to end my meal is about, oh, 30 years old.

I started eating grapes at the end of my lunch instead of my usual cup of chocolate ice cream. After the first week, I quit noticing that my ice cream was gone and I actually enjoy the grapes now. (HUGE for me considering, I never ate fruit before, let alone even LIKED grapes). I'm even starting to become a fan of apples now, too!

Give it some time. You will eventually become accostomed to making it through the week without the sweets. I would have NEVER believed that in a million years for me, but it's true!! :)

I'm still having a huge problem with sweets, too, especially now, during the holidays. I have the other two rules (no snacks and seconds) down just fine. I don't think I will keep any more sweets in the house, because they're just too tempting for me. What's funny is I'm really good at rationing the sweets I bake (and I'm a pretty good baker), but I always end up pigging out on processed sweets. That's why I don't think I will have any more processed sweets in my house.
