how do you do meals that consist of soup?
This is a silly question, I'm sure, but how do you do meals that don't really use a full plate of food? We're having soup tonight with some bread and some kind of veggie. Do I just have one bowl of soup, and have a small plate for the other parts to the meal?
Thanks!
Thanks!
I have soup nearly every day for lunch. My bowl sits on a dinner plate and I put bread, vegetables and/or fruit around it on the plate.

To be honest, I think it's the spirit of NoS that one could keep in mind, ie more or less an average plate of food per meal, rather than the literal application of it, ie whether the soup & other food should be one plate. I suppose the danger would be if one were to eat a massive big soup bowl of soup PLUS a second full plate of other things: but to me that doesn't follow the spirit of NoS. So a small bowl of soup plus a bread roll or plus some green leaves or whatever, in my book is a one plate.
