Who wants to give me a kick up the ****?
Self-sabotage. Well what a topic! Does part of me not believe I deserve to lose the weight? Why do we do this to ourselves?
Since stepping on the scales and discovering I had lost my first stone, I have gone totally off the rails.
So cross with myself. It is like for days feeling an amazing sense of achievement, finally realising I CAN do this. Then deciding to reduce portions and food choices, so what happens? HUNGER that is what happens!!!!!!!!
HUNGER = RED DAYS
Not a happy bunny.
Plus, please remind me not to listen to people that are much heavier and bigger than me when they proclaim that eating cheese sandwiches leads to weight gain, when actually I just proved that the daily cheese sandwich can lead to a stone weight loss, howbeit a slow loss, but a loss still the same. At least with the cheese sandwiches and the alpen breakfasts, [alpen is a brand of processed swiss style muesli that is very sweet!] I had green days not red, and wasn't emotionally punishing myself every day for abject failure.

First: take a deep breath.
Second: take another one
third: take another
Now. . . If at all possible and safe take a walk. When you get back we'll talk.
Back already?
You are right. You should never listen to the critical voices of others. You know what works because you devised a system that works for you. (notice all the "you"s in that last sentence?)
Gently remind yourself of your goal and start to lead yourself back to where you want to be on this journey through life. No need to berate, nag, or chastise. Let's face it, if we all got through this process perfectly, there would be no need for this forum.
Know that we believe in you and your process. Hugs and good wishes as you find your way.

Oh Anne, I can so relate! When I see a new low on the scale I usually start to add restrictions and invariably weight. But the good thing is that in my experience going back to straight old vanilla NoS without extra restrictions gets rid of these extra pounds pretty fast and then I get used to the new low.
