Hi there

Post by k.c923 » Thu May 25, 2006 9:20 am

Hi, another newbie here! I've been lurking on the boards for a while but finally got myself together enough to give NoS a try. Started on Tuesday. Going well so far but, hey, I'm only on Day 3 now so watch this space!

I'd like to say hi all NoSers - you seem like a very friendly, supportive bunch of people. And a big thank you to Reinhard for creating this system and offering it for free to all those exhaused dieters out there (I've been dieting since I was 13 - 30 now. Lost and regained the same 7kg MANY times. I've had enough!) It's a very generous thing.

Regards
Kate

Hello, and welcome!

Glad to hear you like the plan Kate! There's very little to *not* like!
I agree that Reinhard is a kind of dieting guru saint!
I would probably still be gaining like mad if I hadn't found NoS, or worse,,,,,,,

Doing something restrictive unproductive and short term...

I am also grateful to him since my Son has also directly benefitted from NoS.. Sadly, several kids his age, who were also sugar crazed 8 year olds, when we started, are now very overweight 10 year olds, and he is slim and healthy (though still loves sweets!) because we have some modicum of discpline and structure in our lives!
Yay NoS!!!

Hope it works well for you!
Peace and Love,

Hi Kate - I'm new too - just started on Wednesday so today is day 3 for me. Don't quite know how I'll manage on "s" days yet - think I'll just relax a little and if I do fancy something sweet then will have it. Have a great weekend. Daisy

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Much appreciated.

I'm still on track so far - looking forward to the weekend in a big way!

Daisy - I know what you mean about wondering how I'll cope with a weekend - not so much how I'll cope with the S day treats (I'll love them - no problem there!). Rather I'm a bit concerned with how I'll manage to 'snap back' into N day discipline after relaxing over the weekend. Maybe this is because I've been the classic 'dieter' (strict eating followed by bingeing on 'forbidden' foods until I manage to force myself back into another strict diet) for such a long time. That is my pattern and my habit, I suppose.

But I'm building new, better habits now, so maybe it doesn't matter if I struggle a bit at first.

Anyway, hope everyone has a great weekend.

Kate
p.s. Deb - think it's brilliant how you're protecting your son's health (and also probably his self esteem - kids can be vicious to overweight kids) by doing NoS. He'll definitely thank you for it.
