First week success and question
So finally made it through the first week of no s, without any cheats!! However going into week 2 (after my s day weekend) I have a question, so when I had my plated meals I gave myself larger portions than I normally would to compensate for the lack of snacking..and I ate more than I normally would at a meal..to the point of being very full. I was too scared to get super hungry between meals I think I over did it. Thoughts on how to overcome this hurdle? Thanks
Hi,
Welcome. You are off to a great start. Don't worry too much about the portion sizes for now. The idea is to keep at it long enough to form a good habit base. After that you can tweak it a bit if you decide it is necessary.
Also, I wouldn't worry too much about being hungry either
Odds are, you won't starve before your next meal even if you feel more hunger than you are use to. Getting use to hunger does take a some time though.
Good luck in you coming week.

You are only one week in! It will likely take a good year to learn the ins and outs.
If you really fear hunger, I recommend not cutting down too fast. But I also recommend practicing eating more slowly so that when you do test the waters, you can force yourself to still eat slowly even when you are very hungry to start. I find I get full faster when I'm very hungry, but I refuse to rush those first bites (or any of them) because I want to savor how wonderful they are!
But let's not jump the gun. Enjoy where you are now.

Excellent! Really enjoying the days is so essential.
If you mean, did you end up balancing out your calories so that you didn't eat less this week, well, even if that happened, I don't think that undoes the good of five days on compliance.
Take the long view, if you can. It's partly diet head that's poking and looking. Eating honest meals and playing it a bit aloof the rest of the time is a bit more what you want. Be like the homecoming queen or the football captain, as the case may be: expect good to come to YOU.
