KCCC's holiday check in
I don't post check-ins normally, but will over the holidays. I have found that NoS@home is harder for me - and this period is liberally studded with S-days anyway.
Plan thus far...
Last weekend was "small-s" days. Treats allowed, as long as they're "bounded" (no perma-snacking.) Stuck to it, thanks to Mimi's reminder to plan my meals.
Monday - N-day. Fine - again, thanks to the tips I got from Mimi and Reinhard.
Tuesday - Christmas S-day. Normal until evening dinner with friends, where I stuffed myself.
Wednesday - Family Christmas at mom's. Ate all day. (S-day)
Thursday and Friday - N Days. Easier than I thought they'd be - my body appreciated being back on track.
Today (Saturday) - small-s days planned. And actually, I'm not really wanting treats today - still feel in "recovery" from Wednesday. Plus, New Year's is coming up, and that's a BIG S-day for me.
Even with N-day restraints, those are a LOT of S-days, and I can tell my jeans are a bit tight. But I'm just going to go with the process until after New Year's Day, and focus on habits. All I want is for the N-day habits (including my 15-minutes of exercise) still to be in place when January hits - I think the rest will take care of itself.

S-day on Saturday. I had dessert after lunch and dinner, and a muffin from a batch I was baking and freezing for New Year's. Oh, and an evening snack. So a rich full S-day, but I did NOT perma-snack. Success.
S-day again today (small s).
Exercise both days - 15 minutes of Pilates in the morning. No walking - busy yesterday, and it's raining today. (And I won't complain, b/c I'm in a drought area and we need it desperately.)

Sunday S day was not quite what I'd planned... I did well until lunch, then snacked in place of dinner. I did realize (a) I wasn't hungry for dinner and (b) it was time to stop, or I'd feel yucky.
And it was an S-day, so I refuse to clutter it with add-on guilt.
Today is supposed to be an N-day, and will be hard one because I'm baking for tomorrow and don't have energy to cook "real meals."
But... tomorrow is an S for sure (we host a big New Year's brunch) and I do not need 4 S-days in a row.

New Year's Day was a full-on S day. (We host a big brunch/open-house - a great way to start the year, but there's a TON of food around.) I didn't worry about it.
Today is back to routine. I feel glad to be back on track. Will continue this check-in a little longer, to make sure I'm sliding back into routine okay, and then go back to to business as usual.

Well, I thought I was doing well. Saturday and Sunday were "Idiot S-days," even though I'd planned for them to be "small-s."
But there WERE S-days.
And I think I'm going to leave them alone for now. There are enough stresses in my life that I need the release of S-days right now, and applying pressure there may be counter-productive.
I'll just focus on "good N-days," which somehow seems easier.
