I used to have a karate teacher who would say, "Preparation precedes action." or "If you fail to plan, you're planning to fail."

Frankly, the only reason I can make it doing what I do is my nightly preparation session. I make a To do list for the next day, lay out my clothes before I go to sleep and all that smack so I can hit the ground running without giving myself the option to choose whether or not to procrastinate or slack.

When I worked in an office, this meant putting together a lunch the night before.

Good article.

I usually take lunch, and feel slightly annoyed if circumstances dictate that I have to eat out (traveling, business lunch, etc.). Though No-S helps a lot with that.

We plan left-overs for the next day. This week, I over-planned and ended up throwing some out, which I just hated.

I think part of the secret is to plan -- and to have a Plan B -- and C, too!
