Just getting started

Post by Mimi1970 » Thu Jun 05, 2008 1:23 am

Hi everyone! I am very excited about starting the NO S way of life. I have been following the guidelines for about a week, and here is what I can tell you about my experience so far. I have experienced hunger for the first time in years, and it is far from a negative experience. In fact, having a legitimate hunger makes it easier for me to make wiser food choices. It also makes the food taste great, which is a happy bonus. I am looking forward to my minor "cheats" over the weekend, but I am confident that I won't go overboard. This way of eating feels very comfy and very right. :D

Mimi,

I can relate to what you are sharing, it feels kind of wonderful, huh?

Welcome, Mimi! I realized after reading your post that for several months now, I am generally quite hungry before meals. This after decades of NEVER feeling hungry, and really never feeling "full" or "satisfied" either. Now, the feeling before a meal is good...really quite hungry...and the feeling after a meal is good, too. The meal is done, and I move on to other things! :)
