Wooooo!

Post by gratefuldeb67 » Wed Jul 30, 2008 5:01 pm

Too happy about this to post it only on my checkin! :D
I have been struggling with night time eating since *forever*!!
That has always been my biggest problem with being successful with NoS.
During the day I never have the temptation to snack.
This month I have had many red days, but they were for the most part, good days made into failure days, simply because I'd go down and eat in the middle of the night.
Well after about three weeks of this behaviour, I was *finally* able to talk myself out of doing it, when I had the urge to last night.
That voice telling me to go have a handful of cherries or some juice and whatever else was down there, got shut right up by my NoS habit voice!!!
Yay!!!
I actually was talking to myself, saying "You will not lose weight if you do this" and "It is normal to be hungry feeling at 3 am!!" along with "That feeling of hunger is the feeling of you burning fat" (Credit to JWL for Jedi Mind Trick!)
So I got myself in bed and fell asleep very happy with myself for winning that mental battle.
When nobody is around it is sooooo hard to tell yourself no, especially when it's a behaviour that has been ingrained your whole life.

I am really thrilled!
To add to my excitement I am also down 2 or 3 lbs since last week!

Thanks for listening all and have a great day and good week :)
Peace and Love,
8) Deb

Yay Jedi Deb! The force is strong in this one!
Night eating has been a lifelong struggle for me, too. It is an amazing feeling to NOT do it! So happy for you! Excellent work!

Have a great day,
Joelle :D

Congratulations, Deb! I know what a tough and longstanding issue this has been.

If the Jedi mind trick doesn't work next time, don't forget Zuel :-)

Hahah!! Problem with Zeul is he was in there raiding the fridge at same time as me Reinhard and would often pass me a sandwich ;)
LOL

Thank you very much LA and Jo!

I didn't really quote the mind trick thing perfectly, but what it means is, to think of that "unpleasant" feeling of hunger, as being a good thing~

I seriously feel like I just turned around a big corner!

Have a great day all!
