sugar alcohols
So I follow the rules and have managed to cut sugar out of my diet almost completly except for my milk and any natural sugars (friut..). By doing this I come across these sugar alcohls almost every where it is "sugar free". So far in two months I've lost 10 lbs. But what I want to know is if these sugar alcohols are bad in the case of this diet. I know that they are tolerated by diabetics and therefore aren't "sugar". Do I need to stay away from them too???

Well, I would unless I needed to use them.
Remember, this isn't "no sugar" -- it's "no sweets", no foods where the major source of calories is sugar (or HFCS), except sometimes, on days that start with S.
