Giving blood on a nos day
How does this work, because it is very bad to not eat something after you give blood, otherwise you could pass out. Would a cookie and juice snack be accepatable in this circumstance?

First, thank you for giving blood.
I'm a blood donor. I eat after I give and don't sweat it. That's a "doctor's note" reason. You really will faint if you don't replace the sugar after a donation.
I don't eat and S, though. I make a sandwich or bring some peanuts and raisins, and have some orange juice or something. Even so, eat a cookie rather than risk passing out, or just call blood donation an S day and be done with it. You can only give blood about once quarter anyway.

Even more important than eating -- be sure to drink. Water, juice and broth (like boullion or soup) would be best. Something like V8 or tomato juice would be good, too. The dizziness is from loss of blood volume, so you want to replace that volume.
