Hi everyone,
I don't have diabetes, but an older relative who lives with me is thinking about doing no s. She is going to check with her doctor, but I wondered about the nuts and bolts of peoples experiences doing this with diabetes. Her diabetes isn't insulin dependent, fairly well controlled, and the biggest problem is low blood sugar attacks, I think from a combination of medication, and after too much sugar in her diet sending her on the blood sugar roller costar.
I would appreciate anyone's experiences or ideas!
Anyone have any experience with diabetes and nos?

I don't have diabetes, but I've worked with diabetics (I'm a nurse) and I think your relative might be able to do No-S with some modifications. I assume she's on an oral hypoglycemic agent and she will have to snack to prevent incidences of low blood sugar -- but there's an allowance for medical needs to snack. Just no snacking beyond the medically required snacks.
