Just for Decoration

Post by oliviamanda » Mon Mar 22, 2010 2:53 pm

Can't remember who said that sweets are Just for Decoration, especially during the week, but I used that this morning when I walked into the kitchenette at work and found a pile of freshmade scones and cream cheese and a big box of Dunkin' Donuts assorted. Coming off my weekend and having my S late last night, I was not in the mood to be tempted and I thought, "Oh, they look good, but they are just for decoration."

Instead I made my 2 poached eggs with toast and it was really yummy and satisfying. : )

That was me... or, rather, I told the original funny story from which it came (a parent heading off a small child's request for stuff in stores - "oh, honey, that's just for decoration" - rather than deal with a tantrum).

I have started regarding most "food-like edible subtances" as "just for decoration." ;)
