Newbie help!!

Post by jamie413 » Mon Mar 29, 2010 3:59 am

So I'm a little confused....

I know its three square meals a day but does it matter what you eat during those meals? For example, pizza, wouldnt be considered a sweet but its certainly fattening. Is anything still fine as long as youre not consuming it in large quantities?

Thanks for your help!

Yup, even on N days anything is allowed except sweets, as long as it is eaten as part of a meal. What you chose to eat is completely up to you :D

The Official Diet permits three normal-sized plates a day filled with anything that isn't a sweet on N-days.

In practice, most people who do No-S wouldn't eat pizza for dinner every day. This means that 90% of the time, you're choosing non-pizza type options, but you don't blow your diet that once in a blue moon when you do have pizza.

We get SOOO into being perfect with our diets that we miss that "good enough" really is good enough.

Pizza is perfectly fine! Some people eat more than 2 slices and that does not fit on one plate and might be considered seconds. I usually eat two smaller slices and have some salad along with it.

I think it's good to look at your options and say if I have a choice between pizza and a healthier option, you might want to go with the healthier option... it may aid in your weight loss. Also, if you are not losing weight and you see you are eating pizza several times a week, then maybe it's time to cut out some pizza!

I have pizza nearly every week day for lunch. One largish slice, usually thin crust, usually pepperoni or sausage. With this, I get a very nice small green salad, with lots of raw veggies and vinegar and olive oil. I've been doing very well with NoS for nearly a year, and will post on my progress soon, I hope.
