After completing two weeks of No S, I have come to the realization that I really have not experienced physical hunger for most of my life. All my snacking kept me full and prevented me from feeling hungry for my actual meals. Food is tasting much better to me... and all of my Procrastineating (that's eating to avoid any and everything) seems pretty tiresome now.
I have noticed a sense of power comes over me when I make the conscious decision not to eat between meals. I always succumbed to the voice in my head telling me to Procrastineat... now, I just patiently wait until my next meal, and I get a feeling of excitement when I feel real physical hunger because I know that my body is ready to eat. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Absolutely. I found out about No S via a friend, and was discussing this with him, and the phrase he used is "I found my hunger." It is nice to have a body that behaves just as it ought to, just as it has evolved to do. I think food taste better when you're hungry just as liquids taste better when you get thirsty.
As a side note, did you know: It only causes a minute change in your body's chemistry to trigger thirst, which is why those folks who push drinking copious amounts of water are all wet. (Sorry, couldn't resist.) So don't get stressed about what you drink, your body will tell you when it needs hydrating, you just have to trust it.

I love that term - procrastinEATing! I just completed a week of No S, and I'm so bored I don't know what to do with myself. You put it very succinctly: "(that's eating to avoid any and everything) seems pretty tiresome now." Eventually I'm going to get bored of just sitting there and I'll work on something. But now I do not have eating to mask my boredom, and it really is a rude awakening!
