hey
So the weather in Texas has gone a little cold...nothing like Michigan, I'm sure. We're military. We just got stationed here in Texas four months ago after living in North Dakota for five years! ha. So I totally get that snowy freezing weather.....and I miss it! I never thought I'd say that. I've never been to Michigan or that area. I've always thought it would be beautiful, though.....
Glad to see you're sticking in there. Today's day 2 for me....and I'm just happy to be back in the swing of things!

January 21,2011:
Current weight:197 (-5)
Had a very good week.I have noticed some added benefits of living this lifestyle:taking care of some financial issues, spending, put myself on more of a schedule for keeping house, and family meals have become more of a priority.(One tough thing is that I work @ a restaurant, and good food is always around, and the cook always wants us to taste the special)
Looking forward to another good week,am going to try to keep these 2 S days damages to a minimum so I can see a loss next week !

Thursday March 3/day early!
Good and Bad news:Start with the good news:
I have been walking the walk so to say.Days have been falling into place and the scale has been going down~~to be exact my weight this last couple days:193 (-9)Yippeee!!
Here's the bad news:After a DR. appointment with my daughter her weight was much different at the office.Soo, I decided to come home and properly re-calibrate the scale (has never been done). After this process (now accurate)my weight is 200 even.So that tells me I did not really start out at 202 it was really 209!(And my daughter's is 35 not 28~~good for her!)
So I will post for tomorrow:
200 (-9) And on with the show!!

So totally back to square one!
Went out and bought a new scale, and this one is 9 pds higher than the old one. So in 2 days I realize I am close to 20 pds higher than what I thought I was.It is hard because I base so much of my success on the scale. I know it's just numbers;and can't take away how far I've come already.I am very frustrated and do not want to be this way any more!
So today it is: 211
And this is the "new" starting point~check in next Friday!

You *may* be heavier than you thought, but it's all relative. Whatever weight you've lost, you've lost. The success is exactly the same. *Exactly* the same. Still be proud, and still feel satisfaction.
I wish your husband and you the best of luck in finding new work. That's tough stuff.

Thank you for your words of encouragement~
I had a really bad day yesterday;finding out my weight is almost 20 pounds over what I thought it was,and my husband lost his job last Friday (main $$$ earner)it finally caught up with me and I had to vent!

Had a loss this week~despite adversity! This IS a constant learning experience and there will always be small tweaks here and there.
A couple things I have noted lately:Dips are the devil! Really, how can you control these? Now I have to say Wednesday I went overboard on chips and salsa (so it could have been worse)while I was preparing tacos.I really tried to "virtual plate" the chips in a small bowl, but my kitchen is like Grand Central station so people were all eating from the bowl and then it turned into the bag!
Also, trying to overcome night eating syndrome.(problem than I have had for the last few years)I have always had issue with sleep walking and night terrors, now it is just staying away from the damn refrigerator! The thing that gets me is I can have complete control and have a success during the day,but when it comes to NES I am almost possessed and have NO control. So I am constantly trying to figure out ways in which to have the "calm night", last night was a success!
