I'm hoping I'm in the right spot to introduce myself
52 y/o, married, empty nester and tired of regaining weight I work so hard to loose!
So, in an attempt to stop the regain I'm currently on I am here and I'm on board. I'm so tired of counting calories, carbs, low GI foods, etc. This plan seems doable and I'm excited to start.
Today is my first day. Wish me well and point me in the right direction!

Welcome bunky!
I think you will enjoy this way of eating. It's very real. Very sustainable. It gets easier and there are times when it is actually easy.

This the right spot. I'd add only one rule to Reinhard's: enjoy every bite of that food on your plate!
Count plates, not calories. 11 years "during"
Age 69
BMI Jan/10-30.8
1/12-26.8 3/13-24.9 +/- 8-lb. 3 yrs
9/17 22.8 (flux) 3/18 22.2
2 yrs flux 6/20 22
1/21-23

Welcome! NoS is a wonderfully sane, sustainable, and SATISFYING way to eat. Smart move to come over here. I'm the same age as you and have had wonderful success (just passed my 4 year mark--I need to update my sig and post a new testimonial!).
For inspiration, I'd recommend reading through the testimonial forum and for real-world-fighting-diet-head strategies, look at the sticky at the top of this one entitled
NoS Catch Phrase Glossary.
Enjoy the journey!
